We’ve reorganized our Radical Lending Library, and we have found a place to set up our Zine rack downstairs now. So now you can come over to check out our huge zine collection! We have a couple hundred titles catalogued on our online database, with more zines being added in as our eyes uncross. We now have over 1,000 titles of books and zines in our catalog!
To search for zines, go to http://www.librarything.com/home/thewingnutrva and look under “your library” for books or “approaching apocalypse zine library” for zines!

Pictures of the new schmancy organizing to come soon!

The Wingnut’s Approaching Apocalypse Zine Collection is now available online for searching purposes. So far we have over 200 zines in our database. We have many more that we need to add to the database.

We have 2 collections on our http://www.librarything.com/thewingnutrva – one is the regular library of radical books, and the other is the zine collection. You can search by title, author, and subject tag.

Our zines are not available for checking out but they are available to read and look at during Wingnut Open Hours- Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-9pm.
We have a huge selection of subject matter- including health, DIY, transportation, sex, sexism, feminism, sexual assault, herbs, queer, gender, anarchist theory, class, personal, comic, local Richmond/Virginia etc.

If you would like to have your zine included in our collection, please mail a copy to The Wingnut 2005 Barton Avenue Richmond, VA 23222.

We have a new ‘page’ on the Wingnut Blog!! Fliers and Literature- Download and Share!
You can find this page at the top of the blog. We have about 7 different fliers and pamphlets available as of right now, with more to come. This new page will enable others to more easily print and distribute literature that they are interested in. From Copwatch to the Really Really Free Market to Queer issues, there will be frequent updates to this section. Feel free to borrow the content and images as long as they are not being used to promote authoritarian, hierarchical, exploitative or oppressive behavior or ideas.

In making fliers for various activities and ideas we have realized that there are just not very many templates or examples of radical fliers available online. So we have decided to make a bunch of different fliers and pamphlets available for download. That way other people and organizations can borrow any images, ideas, etc. that they can find useful. Hopefully this will save folks some time and energy and keep radicals and anarchists from always having to completely reinvent the wheel!

These will be based off of uploads on zinelibrary.info , which is a really awesome resource for radical zines and fliers. You can do general subject searches on zine library to find radical material from around the world. We are just posting things originating from us (The Wingnuts) or our friends in Richmond!
