Save the date for the People’s Climate March on Monday February 23rd!
There will be a day of activities and a march. Like No ACP on facebook or follow on twitter for updates and we will try to keep updates on the Wingnut page as well.
Take a stand against fracking, the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, and many many other dangerous and climate damaging projects that folks like Dominion Power/Resources and other greedy jerks are pushing for.
Renewable resources are what we need to create a healthy, sustainable environment for everyone in Virginia.

The #blacklivesmatter demands to Richmond City Council pointed out important facts about the disproportionate rates of asthma in communities of color. And environmental racism and classism mean that the folks bearing the most negative weight from fossil fuels will be folks already dealing with the most oppression.

Renewable resources could lead to greater self sufficiency, independence, and cheaper utilities for everyone in Virginia if done well.

Stay tuned, Richmond is on the move this year and we are all a part of the intersectional movement to a better world.

Paxus from Acorn and Twin Oaks will be coming to the Wingnut to do a workshop on Polyamorous relationships! This is during our Wednesday Open Hours so there will be food during the event if you want to being $3 or a dish to share!!
What is the highest intimacy state people can obtain together? Perhaps it comes in trusting and inspiring each other enough to recraft each other. Fearless Romance presumes that your most powerful intimates are your most potent allies and this workshop offers a toolbox to let you redesign your romance and enhance each other.

Great romances start with epic seductions. Not the cheap manipulative types which get so much attention in soap operas, but the kind of honest seduction ( @[NjQyMTgzOTU5MjA4MTA3Omh0dHBzXGEvL3NpdGVzLmdvb2dsZS5jb20vc2l0ZS9ob25lc3RzZWR1Y3Rpb25wcm9qZWN0Lzo6:https://sites.google.com/site/honestseductionproject/%5D ) where someone becomes enchanted with you for the right reasons and consensually bonds with you.

This highly interactive workshop will include roles plays, work in small groups, love letter writing, and Q & A. All consensual relationship models supported and all gender identities celebrated and respected.

We are having our next meeting on the subject on February 16 at 6:30 pm and it will be a potluck.

We are currently looking for people interested in joining/forming an egalitarian community in Richmond using the Wingnut house as a starting point, but with the hope of expanding to include multiple residences and properties.

At the February meeting we will be talking about what an egalitarian community with the Wingnut in Richmond might look like.

This is part of an ongoing series of educational, explorational, and conversational events we are hosting throughout 2015 in our attempts to form this organization and begin living an egalitarian lifestyle. Please come out to talk, network, share ideas, ask questions, and collaborate.

If you are curious, skeptical, interested or passionate about building a better world and community please come to this presentation on Tuesday January 27th at the Wingnut. We are doing a year long exploration/study of egalitarian communities so that we can transform this building into the home of one. Definitely looking for people to join ranks with us on this project but also looking for people who are doing similar projects elsewhere and want to network.
