Come join the Anarchist Black Cross at the monthly Really Really Free Market (on the last Saturday of every month) to write letters to prisoners who will be celebrating their birthdays the following month. We will have a table set up with instructions, addresses and descriptions, envelopes, and people to help answer any questions. rvaabc@gmail.com to get in touch!

We will be using the prisoners’ birthdays posters created monthly by the Chapel Hill Prison Books Collective, and will also have additional prisoner addresses available.
This is a monthly event that will repeat every last saturday of each month.

This event occurs from 12-3pm at the corner of Main and Laurel in Monroe Park. Come on out to support political prisoners and talk to people interested in prison abolition.

In case you missed us in July, here is a link to the poster for prisoners with birthdays in August! Please take the time to write someone in support, it means a lot!  http://prisonbooks.info/

The Richmond Anarchist Black Cross will be hosting letter writing to prisoners, with a specific focus on LGBTQ prisoners.

The Black Cross will be providing a list of prisoners to write to, as well as useful tools and information specific writing letters to prisoners.

This will be held for the duration of the Free Market (Noon-3pm), so come by anytime

Local musician and activist Silver Persinger wrote an article after the August Really Really Free Market in Richmond. He came and performed his music with a portable amp. The Really Really Free Market is a monthly event on the last Saturday of every month in Monroe Park from 12-3 at the corner of Main and Laurel which provides an alternative to the capitalist market. Musicians, performers, non-profits, artists, etc. are invited to perform, play, share, teach, inform etc. every month. Everyone else is invited to bring stuff to give away, come get stuff, learn, listen, and engage with your community!

Here is the article, Silver’s blog is listed in our links section:
