Thanks to everyone who came out in Richmond today to show solidarity with fast food and convenience store workers on strike for $15 an hour. There were over 30 workers on strike and over 40 community supporters as well. Plus amazing puppets and drums from the All Saints Theater Puppet Company.
It was a re-energizing event and thanks to everyone who helped to organize it as well.
Here are some photos and video we took at the event! Keep an ear out as there will be more strikes, more protests and more actions around living wage, Eric Garner, Mike Brown, #blacklivesmatter, and more. There is a ton of excellent work being done in Richmond, much led by people of color, to draw the intersectional connections between issues while still respecting the importance and uniqueness of each issue.

Keep loving, keep fighting, keep reading, keep talking, and keep taking care of yourself and those around you! We are building a movement, a necessary movement, and we need to bring our positivity to it because lives are on the line. But seriously, keep your mental/emotional and physical health in mind so we can sustain this movement. lovelovelove
