The back porch of the Wingnut was severely water damaged, falling apart, and unsafe. We had started doing some poking around on it to try to see if it was salvageable, and if so, what parts we could save, and what parts would have to be removed. Well, as it turns out the whole thing was in pretty terrible shape.

What started out as exploratory demolition turned into full on destruction last Saturday, as the dang thing just came down incredibly easily. We are excited about designing plans for a new back porch to replace this one, which was no longer safe.

Here are some pictures of the demo! We missed out taking pictures of the major demolition parts where we tied ropes around the support columns and simply pulled. Wingnut construction/destruction methods that were surprisingly effective.
